During the summer, there is no story hour but children can participate in the Summer Reading Program. Prizes and incentives vary from year to year.

Children's collection includes picture books that include fiction and non-fiction, foreign language, ethnic tales, alphabet and counting books, board books, holiday and special interest books. This area has been set up to be very child friendly and easy to use. We have a large collection of Easy Readers for those beginning to read and books up to 5th grade reading level.

Busy Bags are thematically linked book/toy kits that make reading more fun for children. The collection has grown to include items of interest to children ages pre-school through primary grades.
